The Pixelblaze Sensor Expansion Board is a game - changer for creating reactive patterns. It allows you to easily write patterns that respond to sound, accelerometer/tilt, or light. Instead of dealing with data processing, you can directly use normalized frequency data, acceleration, and light data as variables in your patterns, no libraries required. It has a line - in jack and a microphone that switch automatically. Its dedicated signal processing offers frequency data from 37Hz - 10KHz, perfect for loud environments. You get 32 - band frequency data, amplitude, and strongest frequency detection. There's also a 3 - axis accelerometer with ±16 G per axis and an ambient light sensor that works from darkness to daylight. Additionally, it provides 5 extra analog inputs. It's extremely compact and can fit on top of a Pixelblaze Standard or be placed wherever you need sensor inputs.

Using the Pixelblaze Sensor Expansion Board is easy. First, connect it to your Pixelblaze Standard or the device where you want to use the sensor data. You can start writing patterns right away without having to worry about data processing. When it comes to sound, just use the line - in jack or let the microphone pick up the sound automatically. The frequency data will be fed into your pattern as variables. For the accelerometer, any movement or tilt will generate acceleration data for your pattern. The ambient light sensor works in all lighting conditions, from dark rooms to bright daylight. As for the 5 additional analog inputs, you can connect other analog sensors to expand its functionality. Keep it in a dry and clean place to avoid damage. If it gets dirty, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe it. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures or moisture. And always make sure the connections are secure before using it.
