This chip uses high-speed PWM to control 24-bit color, way beyond just red, green, and blue. Power them with 5V and connect them in a chain by linking the Data-Out of one to the Data-In of the previous. If you're using an Arduino, our well-written Neopixel library for Arduino makes controlling these LEDs a breeze. They also work great with our Trinkets.
