This Gyro Breakout Board with ADXRS610 chip is now discontinued. We suggest exploring our range of IMU Sensors as a great alternative. The ADXRS MEMS gyroscope from Analog Devices is an outstanding sensor. With this compact breakout board from DFRobot, you can easily integrate gyroscope rate sensing into your projects. Each unit is fully assembled and tested, featuring an empty 0.1' spaced footprint. It's ready to accept a straight header (included), a right angle header, or your custom wires. Applications include vehicle chassis rollover sensing, inertial measurement units, and platform stabilization. Specifications: 5V DC voltage, analog outputs, ADXRS610 chip, ±300°/sec, temperature sensor output, self - test on digital command, Z - axis (yaw rate) response, dimensions of 16mmx20mm(0.63'x0.79'), and a weight of 1g without the header. Available documents are Wiki Doc, Datasheet, Schematics, Helicopter Autopilot, and Reverse Pendulum Robot Project. The shipping list includes one Gyro Break Board - ADXRS610 and one straight header.

Using this ADXRS610 gyro breakout board is quite straightforward. First, connect it to your project. You can use the straight header included in the pack or your own wires. Make sure to supply it with 5V DC power. For most projects, the analog outputs will provide the gyroscope rate data you need. When using it for vehicle chassis rollover sensing, inertial measurement, or platform stabilization, keep in mind that the sensor is sensitive to its orientation. Try to mount it as stably as possible. As for maintenance, there isn't much to do. Just keep it clean and dry. If you want to test the sensor, you can use the self - test feature with a digital command. Remember, this product is discontinued, so if you run into any issues, consider looking at our IMU sensors as a replacement.
