Product Details

We're in a vibrant world, but how well do you understand color? Your eyes can mislead you, yet sensors tell the truth. The Gravity AS7341 11-Channel Visible Light Sensor reveals the real story of color. It uses the new AS7341 spectral sensor IC from the renowned AMS company. With eight visible light channels, one near-IR channel, one unfiltered channel, and a dedicated ambient light flicker detection channel, it's a powerful tool. It also has 6 independent 16-bit ADC channels for parallel data processing. Two extra-bright on-board LEDs provide light in the dark. Comparing with RGB color sensors, the AS7341 gives more accurate color recognition. It's great for high-accuracy color detection, color mixing effect detection, lighting color temperature adjustment, lighting atmosphere control, and modern plant cultivation. Its features include 8 optical channels for visible light, 50Hz and 60Hz ambient light flicker detection, and 6 independent 16-bit ADC channels. The specifications are: power supply 3.3V - 5V, visible light detection range F1(405 - 425nm) to F8(670 - 690nm), operating current (LED off) <5mA, LED driving current Class 1 - 20 (4 - 42mA), I2C address 0x39, operating temperature range -30℃ - 85℃, operating humidity range 5%RH - 85%RH, and dimension 22*20mm/0.87*0.79". You can find related information about visible light and check out the spectrophotometer experiment based on this sensor.

Using this Gravity AS7341 11-Channel Visible Light Sensor is easy. First, connect it to a power supply within the 3.3V - 5V range. The I2C address is 0x39, so make sure your system is configured accordingly. When you turn it on, the sensor will start detecting light and colors. If you're in a dark environment, the two on-board extra-bright LEDs will help. For color detection and matching, place the sensor near the object you want to analyze. Remember, the sensor can detect ambient light flicker at 50Hz and 60Hz, which can be useful in some applications. As for maintenance, keep it in an environment where the temperature is between -30℃ and 85℃, and the humidity is between 5%RH and 85%RH. Avoid exposing it to extreme conditions. Also, check the power supply regularly to ensure it's within the specified range. If you're using it for a long - term project, it's a good idea to monitor the operating current, which should be less than 5mA when the LEDs are off.
