This is a piezoresistive force sensor from Tekscan. The sensor's resistance decreases as you press harder. When pressed lightly, the resistance changes from infinite to about 300k. It's thin and flexible, but its resistance only changes when pressure is applied to the round area at the end, not when flexed. It can be used as a presence sensor, weight sensor, or for impact testing. It's about 8.5' long and comes with a 0.1' spaced, reinforced, breadboard - friendly connector. There are three types of this sensor, and this one measures pressure from 0 to 1lb. It also comes with useful documents like a datasheet, user manual, quick - start guide, and more.

Using this FlexiForce pressure sensor is easy. First, connect it to your project using the breadboard - friendly connector it comes with. When you want to measure pressure, apply it to the round area at the end of the sensor. Remember, the harder you press, the lower the resistance. This sensor can be used in many ways, like detecting if someone is standing on it or for impact testing. As for maintenance, keep it clean and dry. Avoid bending it too forcefully in areas other than the normal flexible parts as this won't affect the resistance measurement. Check the datasheet and user manual for more detailed information and technical specifications.
