Product Details

The FireBeetle 2 ESP32-S3 is a top-notch main controller centered around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8 module. It comes with 16MB Flash and 8MB PSRAM, offering ample space to store loads of data. Thanks to the ESP32-S3 chip's acceleration for neural network computing and signal processing, it's perfect for many applications like speech and image recognition. This microcontroller has an onboard camera interface for easy camera connection. An independent camera power supply circuit reduces signal interference to the camera. The included OV2640 camera has 2 megapixels, 68° FOV, and up to 1600*1200 resolution. Its onboard, easy - connect GDI simplifies wiring for screen use. It also integrates a power management function, enabling Li - ion battery charging and hardware on/off control. Supporting WiFi and Bluetooth 5 (LE) dual - mode communication, it makes networking easier. It supports both Bluetooth Mesh and Espressif WiFi Mesh for stable communication and wide coverage. With Matter protocol support, it's great for developing industrial - standard smart home devices for IoT and AIoT scenarios. You can program it using Arduino IDE, ESP - IDF, and MicroPython, with support for both C and Python.

Using the FireBeetle 2 ESP32 - S3 is quite straightforward. First, connect the power supply. You can use a Type - C input with 5V DC or VCC input with 5V DC. The operating voltage is 3.3V, so make sure your power source is compatible. If you want to use the camera, connect it to the onboard camera interface. The independent power supply for the camera will ensure better performance. When using it with a screen, take advantage of the onboard GDI to save the hassle of wiring. For programming, you can choose from Arduino IDE, ESP - IDF, or MicroPython. Just follow the normal programming procedures for these platforms. As for networking, it supports both WiFi and Bluetooth 5, so you can connect it to your local network easily. Remember, the operating temperature range is from - 20 to 70°C, so don't use it in extreme temperature environments. When it comes to maintenance, keep it clean and dry. If you're not using it for a long time, store it in a cool and dry place. Also, make sure to follow the charging instructions for the Li - ion battery to avoid overcharging.
