The Digilent Analog Discovery 2 is an amazing USB oscilloscope and multi - function device. It lets you measure, visualize, generate, record, and control all sorts of mixed - signal circuits. Developed with Analog Devices and backed by the Xilinx University Program, this compact device can fit in your pocket yet is powerful enough to replace a bunch of lab equipment. It gives engineering students, hobbyists, and electronics lovers the freedom to work with analog and digital circuits anywhere, whether in the lab or out. Connect the analog and digital inputs and outputs to a circuit easily with simple wire probes. Powered by the free WaveForms 2015 software (compatible with Mac, Linux, and Windows), it can be set up to function as several traditional instruments. If you want to use BNC probes, we have the Digilent BNC Adapter Board for you. The package includes the Analog Discovery 2, an enclosure, a USB A to micro B programming cable, a 2x15 flywire signal cable assembly, a 5 - pack of 6 - pin male headers, and a ferrite cable snap - on. It features a two - channel USB digital oscilloscope, a two - channel arbitrary function generator, a stereo audio amplifier, a 16 - channel digital logic analyzer, a 16 - channel pattern generator, 16 - channel virtual digital I/O, two input/output digital trigger signals, a single - channel voltmeter, a network analyzer, a spectrum analyzer, digital bus analyzers, and two programmable power supplies. Documents provided are the datasheet, Waveforms 2015, real analog education materials, and access to the Digilent Resource Center.

Using the Digilent Analog Discovery 2 is easy. First, connect it to your computer via the provided USB A to micro B programming cable. Then, connect the analog and digital inputs and outputs to your circuit using the simple wire probes. If you prefer BNC probes, attach them with the Digilent BNC Adapter Board. Open the free WaveForms 2015 software on your Mac, Linux, or Windows computer and configure the device to work as the instrument you need. When using the power supplies, keep in mind that the maximum available output current and power depend on how you power the device. Through USB, each supply can have a max of 250mW or 500mW total. With an external wall power supply, each supply can reach 700mA max or 2.1W max. For maintenance, keep the device clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. Store it in the provided enclosure when not in use. Always refer to the datasheet and other documents for more detailed information.
