Product Details
The MIKROE Weather Click module features the Bosch BME280 integrated environmental unit. This amazing sensor can detect humidity, pressure, and temperature. It's specially crafted for low current consumption and long - term stability. Running on a 3.3V power supply, it communicates with the target microcontroller via SPI or I2C interface. The BME280 combines digital humidity, pressure, and temperature sensing based on reliable principles. It offers high accuracy and reliability across all three sensors. The humidity sensor responds in just one second and is accurate up to ±3% RH. The pressure sensor has a sensitivity error of ±0.25%, equivalent to 1m at a 400m height change. The humidity and pressure sensors can work independently. The temperature sensor has high resolution (up to 20 bit with the IIR filter enabled) and low noise. The chip has three operating modes: sleep, forced, and normal. Key features include I2C and SPI interfaces, mikroBUS™ compatibility, dimensions of 28.6 x 25.4mm, and an input voltage of 3.3V. Available documents are the schematic, BME280 Datasheet, and GitHub resources.
Using the MIKROE Weather Click module is easy. First, connect it to your target microcontroller through either the SPI or I2C interface. Make sure to supply it with a 3.3V power source. Once connected, it will start detecting humidity, pressure, and temperature right away. When it comes to the operating modes, the sleep mode is great when you don't need continuous monitoring. The forced mode is useful for taking single measurements, and the normal mode is for continuous data collection. As for maintenance, keep it in a clean and dry environment. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or high - humidity conditions for a long time. When handling the module, be gentle to prevent any physical damage.
