These channel gearbox kits with a standard 7:1 gear ratio feature threaded side mounts. They make it a breeze to attach a standard - sized servo to various Actobotics products like tubing and channel. You can easily integrate a servo - powered gearbox into custom pan & tilt setups, mechanical devices, or robotic structures. Each kit comes with a hardened 1/2” stainless - steel final shaft. It has dual ABEC - 5 precision ball bearings that can handle up to 200 pounds of vertical and horizontal loads. The main spur gear is bolted to the drive hub, ensuring direct power transfer without slippage. Actobotics is a great robotics building system using extruded aluminum channels, gears, precision shafts, and ball bearings. With two standardized hole patterns, almost all Actobotics components can be easily connected. This wide range of components makes building complex electromechanical prototypes or finished projects possible. Note: This gearbox kit doesn't include a servo. Check the related items for different Hitec servo options. Using this gearbox kit is straightforward. First, pick a suitable Hitec servo as the kit doesn't come with one. Then, use the threaded side mounts to attach the servo to your Actobotics products like tubing or channel. Connect all the included parts as per the assembly instructions. Remember, the kit is only for Hitec servos, so don't try using other brands. For maintenance, regularly check the bolts and screws to make sure they're tight. Also, keep an eye on the ball bearings and the gears for any signs of wear. If you notice any issues, refer to the product page or the assembly instructions for guidance.
