The Raspberry Pi Foundation's first 'official' case arrives in Raspberry Pi's stylish pink and white color scheme! Our own cases have been around for a while, but the Pi Foundation's debut in the case market is truly remarkable. It's well - designed, just as we'd expect from the creators of the Raspberry Pi.
This five - part case offers great flexibility. You can easily snap in the sides or tops according to your Pi usage. Need a GPIO cable to come out from the top or want to add a hat? There's an eye - catching pink top with a central cut - out for more versatility. Prefer not to see your Pi? A white lid neatly fills the gap.
The smart design and customizability of this case make it a must - have addition to the Pi case collection! Using it with HATs is doable, though it can be a bit tricky. For'slim' HATs like the Sense HAT or those with'short/slim' connectors, you can simply plug them in. If your hat uses the standard 8.5mm tall headers, you can remove the pink and white top parts and use only the bottom and sides. Or, if you're feeling creative, you can cut off the pink nub on the pink top with pliers, place the HAT on the Pi before putting it in the case, and then snap everything together. It's a tight fit but it works.
Please note, this product is just the case. It doesn't come with the Raspberry Pi or any components. It's designed for the Pi 3 Model B and Pi 3 Model B+, but it will also work with the Pi B+ and Pi 2, although the LED light pipes may be blocked as the LEDs are repositioned on the Pi 3.

Using your Raspberry Pi Foundation case is quite straightforward. First, decide how you want to use your Pi. If you need to connect a GPIO cable from the top or add a HAT, choose the pink top with the cut - out. For a more covered look, go for the white lid. Snap the sides and tops together according to your preference.
When using HATs, if you have a slim one, just plug it in. For standard - sized HATs, you can either remove the top parts or cut off the pink nub on the pink top. Remember to place the HAT on the Pi before putting it in the case.
As for maintenance, simply wipe the case with a soft, dry cloth to keep it clean. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they may damage the case. And keep in mind that this case is just for housing your Pi; it doesn't come with the Pi or components. Also, if you're using it with Pi B+ or Pi 2, the LED light pipes might be blocked.
