Product Details

The Alphamax NeTV2 is a revolutionary open video development board. It's a game - changer for HDMI development, allowing you to overlay your own data on HDMI, even encrypted streams. It's the upgraded version following the original NeTV. This add - on board for a Raspberry Pi gives you a Linux runtime and FPGA video encoding power for development. Developed by Alphamax, led by the well - known 'bunnie' Huang, it's a fully open - source HDTV peripheral that brings WiFi and Android interfacing to any HDMI TV. It has two major use modes: 'NeTV classic' for encrypted video overlays and 'libre' for deep video processing of unencrypted feeds. You can overlay web content on existing HDMI feeds, like from a BluRay player. The reference firmware enables overlaying Facebook, Twitter, and Android SMS. The UI in Javascript/HTML makes custom app development a breeze. With a convenient HTTP API and Bonjour discoverability, integrating with other devices is easy. FPGA enthusiasts can modify video processing with Xilinx's free tools or repurpose the FPGA. Development options include UI/app in Javascript/HTML, remote control via iOS/Android apps, command - line/kernel development, Verilog/VHDL on FPGA, and hardware development. The full pack includes the NeTV2 PCB Dev board, Raspberry Pi 3 B+, a well - designed plastic enclosure kit, and a 12V 1A power supply.

Using the NeTV2 is easy. First, make sure you have all the parts from the full pack: the NeTV2 PCB Dev board, Raspberry Pi 3 B+, plastic enclosure kit, and 12V 1A power supply. Connect the power supply to start the system. If you want to overlay web content on your HDMI video, just follow the steps in the reference firmware. You can use it to show Facebook or Twitter feeds right on your TV. To develop custom applications, write your code in Javascript/HTML as it's easy to work with. For remote control, use the iOS or Android reference apps. When using the FPGA, you can modify the video processing with Xilinx's free tools, but be careful when making changes. As for maintenance, keep the board clean and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. If you want to add extra components to the system, the plastic enclosure has extra space for that. Just make sure to follow the mounting instructions.
