Product Details

The MyoWare® 2.0 Reference Cable serves as an extension for the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor's reference pin. Simply insert the pin into its housing and place a biomedical sensor pad into the electrode snap. Then, attach the reference cable's snap pin to a separate body part, like a bony area of the elbow or a non - adjacent muscle near the targeted muscle that the built - in reference pin can't reach. Note that the reference electrode socket stays active even with the cable inserted. You can disable it by cutting the jumper trace on the sensor's top side and re - enable it by soldering the jumper pads. The MyoWare® 2.0 ecosystem includes shields that easily connect to the low - cost, Arduino - compatible MyoWare® 2.0 Muscle Sensor. Its innovative connector system lets you snap shields together with a compact design and connect to a microcontroller's analog input to measure a muscle's electrical activity without soldering. This product is a collaboration with Advancer Technologies, and a part of each sale supports their product development.

Using the MyoWare 2.0 Reference Cable is easy. First, take the pin of the cable and insert it into its housing. Then, put a biomedical sensor pad into the electrode snap. Next, find a suitable spot on your body, such as a bony part of the elbow or a non - adjacent muscle near the targeted one, and attach the snap pin of the reference cable there. Be aware that the reference electrode socket remains active when the cable is inserted. If you want to disable it, use a tool to cut the jumper trace on the top side of the sensor. To re - enable it, you'll need to solder the jumper pads. For maintenance, keep the cable clean and dry. Avoid pulling it too hard or bending it sharply as this might damage the internal wires. When not in use, store it in a safe place to prevent any physical damage.
