Product Details

This amazing little buck converter based on the MPM3610 is a real gem. It can take an input of up to 21V and deliver a stable 3.3V output with a current of up to 1.2A. It's ideal for powering popular 3.3V voltage circuits from various battery or power sources. The chip can supply up to 1.2 Amp load current across the entire 4.5 - 21V input voltage range. What makes this buck converter stand out is its high - voltage range, as many converters can only handle up to about 6 VDC input. It's perfect for your portable projects. We've designed it to be 'pin - compatible' with the LM1117 - 3.3V TO - 220 chip, so you can easily swap it in for better performance (90 - 95% efficiency!). There's also an ENable pin; just tie it low to completely shut down the output. The Adafruit MPM3610 Breakout operates at a 2 - MHz fixed - frequency in PWM mode. Its fully integrated inductor design is not only efficient but also very compact. You'll receive a fully assembled and tested breakout board, along with a header to plug it into a breadboard.

Using this MPM3610 buck converter is a breeze. First, connect your power source with an input voltage between 4.5V and 21V to the input pins of the breakout board. Then, connect the load that needs 3.3V power to the output pins. If you want to turn off the output completely, just connect the ENable pin to a low voltage. For portable projects, you can easily swap it with the LM1117 - 3.3V TO - 220 chip because it's pin - compatible. When handling the board, be gentle as it's a small and delicate component. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. To keep it in good condition, store it in a dry and clean place. If you're using it on a breadboard, make sure the connections are secure. That's all you need to know to get the most out of this great buck converter!
