Product Details

Motor:bit is an amazing motor driving board designed for Micro:bit. It comes with an integrated TB6612 motor driving chip, enabling it to drive two motors with a maximum single - channel DC current of 1.2A. There are 12 GVS ports for connecting OCTOPUS series electric bricks and 1 IIC communication port. These ports allow seamless extension with various sensors and electric modules. On the board, P3 - P7, P9 - P10 are IO ports for directly driving 3.3V devices, while P13 - P16, P19 - P20 (IIC port) support 3.3V/5V voltage switching. Just slide the onboard voltage switch, and you can drive either 3.3V or 5V devices. Moreover, you can play music using the buzzer on the Motor:bit. This board is a perfect choice for DIYers to create their own smart cars or other fun projects. Features include support for 2 DC motors, a max single - channel driving current of 1.2A, 14 - channel IO ports extended and led out by GVS pins (6 of which support 3V/5V voltage switch), and a passive buzzer on board. Recommended by Micro:bit Official.

Using the Motor:bit is easy. First, for hardware assembly, connect two TT motors to the micro:bit as shown in the provided picture. Then, for programming, click 'Add Package' in the code drawer of makecode. Search for the keyword'motorbit' in the dialogue box and click on the search result to download the package. Write your code to make the two TT motors rotate in turns. You can view the whole program at https://makecode.microbit.org/_LsPT31WPH1JD or download it from the relevant page. When using the Motor:bit, make sure to connect the power correctly. The power connector can be connected to a 6 - 12V DC power source. Slide the power switch to 'ON' to connect power and 'OFF' to disconnect it. When using the voltage switch, slide it to '5V' for a 5V power supply and '3.3V' for a 3.3V power supply, but note that this switch only affects 6 IO ports (P13 / P14 / P15 / P16 / P19 / P20). For maintenance, keep the board clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humid environments. If you encounter any problems, refer to the official documentation or contact customer support.
