These buttons are the same size as typical miniature arcade controls, needing a 24mm diameter hole for mounting, so they're often called 24mm diameter buttons. They're screwed in place, suitable for materials up to about 15mm thick, and can cover imperfect holes. The action is smooth, no strong click, but you can clearly feel when the button is pressed. A pre - installed tiny micro - switch has gold - plated contacts. Even when unlit, they look great with a crystal - like translucent and glossy appearance. There are two surface - mount LEDs with resistors inside the button body. There are two extra contacts next to the switch contacts for powering and controlling the LEDs. The two LEDs are in parallel with about 1K resistors each. You can power the LED from a microcontroller pin or directly from 5V (like USB) with a 10mA draw. Using these arcade buttons is easy. First, make a 24mm diameter hole in a material up to 15mm thick and screw the button in place. When pressing the buttons, you'll feel a smooth action. Just press gently and you'll know when it's been activated. As for maintenance, keep them clean. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe them. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they might damage the button's surface or the LEDs. Also, be careful when handling the wiring to prevent any short - circuits.
