Product Details

Create your own unique LED strip setup with this NeoPixel LED stick. It features 8 tiny 5050 (5mm x 5mm) smart RGB LEDs packed onto a PCB with mounting holes and a chainable design. You can control multiple sticks using just one microcontroller pin! Each LED has an integrated driver chip, making it individually addressable. With a ~18mA constant current drive, the colors remain consistent even with voltage variations, and no external choke resistors are needed, resulting in a sleek design. Power it with 5VDC (4 - 7V works) and you're all set. The LEDs are chainable by connecting one stick's output to another's input. It uses a single data line with a timing - specific protocol, so it requires a real - time microcontroller like an AVR, Arduino, PIC, or mbed. It won't work with Linux - based microcomputers or interpreted microcontrollers. Our well - written Neopixel library for Arduino supports these pixels. An 8MHz or faster processor is required. It comes as a single stick with 8 individually addressable RGB LEDs, already assembled and tested. Our detailed NeoPixel Uberguide offers all the info you need for using NeoPixels in any form, including ready - to - go library and example code for various Arduino models.

Using this NeoPixel LED stick is a breeze. First, power it with 5VDC (4 - 7V also works). You can connect multiple sticks together by linking the output of one to the input of another. To control the LEDs, you'll need a real - time microcontroller like an Arduino. Make sure your processor is 8MHz or faster. Our Neopixel library for Arduino can help you get started. When using it, be aware that it won't work with Linux - based microcomputers or interpreted microcontrollers. As for maintenance, keep it in a dry and clean place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. If you have any issues, refer to our detailed NeoPixel Uberguide which has all the information you need.
