Product Details

The Microstack base board for Raspberry Pi bridges the gap between the world of Microstack modules and the amazing Raspberry Pi ecosystem. It's compatible with Raspberry Pi models A, B, and the newer A+ and B+ versions. This board routes the right GPIO pins of the Raspberry Pi to sockets, allowing you to easily connect Microstack modules. The onboard 3.3V regulator provides sufficient current to power a stack of Microstack modules, relieving the limited 3.3V supply on the Raspberry Pi. You can supply 5V to the regulator and some Microstack modules either from the Raspberry Pi or through an additional onboard 5V micro - USB socket. Its unique multi - coloured PCB and polarised sockets make it easy to fit the correct modules in the right orientation and socket. With full support from the Microstack Node Python Library, simple - to - install drivers for quick start on Raspberry Pi, and a colour - coded PCB for simplicity, it also eases the load on the Raspberry Pi's 3.3 - volt power rail. Ideal for embedded design and development.

Using this Microstack base board for Raspberry Pi is easy. First, make sure your Raspberry Pi is of the compatible models (A, B, A+, or B+). Connect the base board to your Raspberry Pi. Then, you can connect Microstack modules to the sockets on the base board. You have two options to supply 5V power: from the Raspberry Pi itself or through the onboard 5V micro - USB socket. When fitting the modules, use the unique multi - coloured PCB and polarised sockets as a guide to ensure they are in the correct orientation. Regarding maintenance, keep the board clean and free from dust. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If you have any issues, the Microstack Node Python Library can be a great resource for troubleshooting.
