Product Details

The Me PIR sensor is a fantastic device that can detect the motion of animals or humans from up to 6 meters away. When someone moves within this range, the sensor outputs a high signal on its SIG pin. It comes with a potentiometer on the circuit board, allowing you to adjust the detecting range as needed. This sensor is great for various applications like motion detection, thief - guarding systems, and automation switches. Key features include an adjustable detecting range and high sensitivity. It also has a red power indicator LED and a blue state indicator. With 16mm interval M4 mounting holes, it's compatible with Makeblock beams. The 2.54mm breakout pins make it easy to connect with jumper wires, and the 6 - Pin RJ11 interface simplifies wiring. There's an Arduino library for hassle - free programming. Specifications: It operates at a rated voltage of 5V, with a working temperature range from - 20°C to + 70°C. The level output voltage is 5V (high) and 0V (low), and the trigger signal is 5V (high). The holding time is 2 seconds, the detecting angle is 120 degrees, and the maximum detecting distance is 6m. Its size is 24x48x32mm (Length x Width x Height). For the Arduino library and more product details, visit the Makeblock wiki page. If you have questions or need technical support, post in the Makeblock forum.

Using the Me PIR sensor is easy. First, make sure to connect it to a 5V power supply. After powering it on, wait about 10 seconds for the sensor to initialize. You can then adjust the detecting range using the potentiometer on the circuit board according to your needs. When using it for applications like a thief - guarding system or an automation switch, place it in a position where it can cover the area you want to monitor. For mounting, use the 16mm interval M4 mounting holes to attach it to Makeblock beams. To connect it to other devices, use the 2.54mm breakout pins with jumper wires or the 6 - Pin RJ11 interface. When programming, you can use the provided Arduino library. As for maintenance, keep it in a dry place within the working temperature range of - 20°C to + 70°C. Avoid exposing it to excessive moisture or physical damage. If you have any issues or need more information, visit the Makeblock wiki page or post in the Makeblock forum.
