KR Sense Current and Voltage Sensor - 45A

The KR Sense 45A is a compact voltage and current sensing breakout board. It measures DC current by detecting the voltage drop across a parallel shunt resistor and then uses the INA - 169 to convert it into an analog voltage output. For voltage sensing, it scales to the 3.3V ADC range via a precision resistor divider. This sensor version can tolerate a maximum voltage of 51.8V at 44.7A. Note that KR Sense boards come without leads or connectors. The pads can fit 12 - gauge heavy - duty leads, but soldering requires care. Smaller gauge leads are much easier to solder without short - circuiting. This product is compatible with the Attopilot 45A Voltage and Current Sensor Breakout.

Using the KR Sense 45A sensor is straightforward. First, connect the appropriate leads to the pads on the board. If you're using 12 - gauge heavy - duty leads, be extra careful during soldering to avoid short - circuits. Smaller gauge leads are a better option if you're new to soldering. Once connected, the sensor will start measuring DC current by detecting the voltage drop across the shunt resistor and converting it to an analog output. For voltage sensing, it will automatically scale to the 3.3V ADC range. As for maintenance, keep the sensor in a dry and clean environment. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture.
