Product Details

The Intel® Edison is a super - compact computing platform. Its small design allows for easy integration into various projects, especially those in the 'Internet of Things' field. Despite its small size, it packs a punch! It uses a 22 nm Intel SoC with a 500MHz dual - core, dual - threaded Intel Atom CPU and a 100 MHz 32 - bit Intel® Quark microcontroller. This little board, about the size of an LED Matrix, has a lot of power. It supports 40 GPIOs and comes with 1 GB LPDDR3, 4 GB EMMC, along with dual - band WiFI and BTLE, making it wireless. The Edison fits perfectly on the breakout board, just like a cute IoT sparrow in a small nest. The breakout board has a power supply, USB serial, USB OTG port, power switch, I/O header, and a battery charger. Together, they enable seamless device - to - device and device - to - cloud communication.

Using the Intel® Edison with the Mini Breakout Board is a breeze. First, connect the Edison to the breakout board. It fits snugly, so you don't have to worry about it coming loose. Once connected, you can power it on using the power switch on the breakout board. To communicate with other devices or the cloud, take advantage of the dual - band WiFI and BTLE. When it comes to power, you can use the battery charger on the breakout board or connect it to a power supply. As for the USB ports, the USB serial can be used for basic data transfer, while the USB OTG port gives you more flexibility. For maintenance, keep the board clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If you're not using it for a long time, it's a good idea to store it in a safe place to prevent any physical damage. That's all you need to know to get the most out of your Intel® Edison and Mini Breakout Board.
