Using this 7-segment display is easy. First, decide if you want to use the raw display or the backpack version. The backpack version is more convenient as it has an LED driver on the back. For the raw display, you'll need to connect it using a 74HC595 or 8 microcontroller pins for the anodes and NPN transistors or a TPIC6B595 for the cathodes. You can adjust the brightness by changing the current. To save power, use less current. If you want maximum brightness, set it to 20mA. When handling the display, be gentle to avoid any damage. Clean it with a soft, dry cloth if it gets dirty. Remember, the raw display requires more work to get running, so if you're new to this, the backpack version might be a better choice. We also have different sizes and colors available, so you can pick the one that suits your project best.
