Product Details

Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are essential for precise timing and positioning in device operations. The DFRobot Gravity GNSS positioning module supports multiple satellite systems including BeiDou, GPS, and GLONASS. It can quickly deliver key position data such as longitude, latitude, altitude, and time. Compared to traditional single - GPS positioning, this multi - system module offers higher precision and faster speed due to more visible and available satellites, ensuring stable and accurate performance even in complex urban settings. With I2C and UART data outputs, it integrates seamlessly with popular main - controllers like Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. This makes it highly suitable for various outdoor positioning applications, such as vehicle navigation, handheld positioning trackers, item tracking, and weather stations. Features: Supports single and multiple systems positioning; Higher precision and speed than single GPS. Applications: Vehicle navigation, handheld positioning tracker, item tracking, and weather station. Specification: Operating Voltage: 3.3 - 5.5V DC; Output Signal: I2C/UART; Positioning Accuracy: 2.0m CEP; Time for First Positioning: 30s cold start, 2s hot start; Power Consumption: 40mA; Antenna Interface: IPEX1; Antenna Frequency: 1561 - 1575.42MHz±3MHz; Dimension: 27mm*37mm/1.06*1.46'. Documents: Product wiki, Datasheet, Schematics, Dimensions & Component Layout. Shipping List: Gravity GNSS Positioning Module x 1, GPS/BeiDou Active Ceramic Antenna (IPEX1 Connector) x 1, Gravity 4P Sensor Cable x 1.

Using this DFRobot Gravity GNSS positioning module is quite easy. First, connect the module to your main - controller like Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi using the I2C or UART data outputs. Make sure to connect the GPS/BeiDou Active Ceramic Antenna properly to the IPEX1 antenna interface. When starting up, it may take 30 seconds for a cold start and just 2 seconds for a hot start to get the first position. Keep in mind that the operating voltage should be between 3.3V and 5.5V DC. Don't expose the module to extreme temperatures or moisture. For maintenance, check the connections regularly to ensure they are secure. If you need more technical details, refer to the product wiki, datasheet, schematics, and the dimensions & component layout documents.
