Product Details

These well - loved 28YBJ - 48 geared stepper motors come with a driver board. They're perfect for 5V operation. Features include 4 phases, a current of 160 mA per winding (320 mA in 4 - step mode), and resistance of about 31 Ω per coil winding. It runs on 5V DC. Step angles vary depending on the sequence: 5.625° in 8 - step and 11.25° in 4 - step for the internal motor. The gear reduction ratio is about 1/64. It takes 4096 steps per output shaft revolution in 8 - step sequence and 2048 steps in 4 - step. Note that the Arduino 'Stepper Library' uses 4 - step mode. It has a no - load pull - out frequency of 800pps, no - load pull - in frequency of 500pps, and pull - in torque of at least 78.4mN.m. Wiring is A (Blue), B (Pink), C (Yellow), D (Orange), E (Red, Mid - Point). It weighs 30g. Check out the specs and user guide here: https://arduino - info.wikispaces.com/SmallSteppers.

Using this 5V geared stepper motor with driver board is easy. First, connect the wires according to the wiring instruction: A (Blue), B (Pink), C (Yellow), D (Orange), E (Red, Mid - Point). Make sure to power it with 5V DC. If you're using an Arduino, remember that the 'Stepper Library' runs in 4 - step mode. When operating, keep in mind the no - load pull - out and pull - in frequencies. Don't exceed 800pps for pull - out and 500pps for pull - in. As for maintenance, keep it clean and avoid overheating. If you notice any abnormal current changes, like the measured 250mA when stopped and 200mA when running fast going way off, it might need a check. Also, be aware that the gear reduction ratio is not exactly 1/64, but close. That's about it, and you can refer to the link for more detailed specs and user guide.
