Product Details

DFRobot FireBeetle is a low - power micro - controller crafted for the Internet of Things (IoT). It's perfect for building IoT nodes with low power consumption quickly and easily. The FireBeetle series includes Boards (main control), Covers (expansion boards), and related Accessories. This 24x8 LED Matrix display, specifically designed for FireBeetle, supports low - power mode and scrolling display. With the HT1632C high - performance LED driver chip, each LED has its own register, making it simple to control. It has a 256KHz RC clock, consumes only 5uA in low - power mode, and supports 16 - scale PWM brightness adjustment. This product also works well with other Arduino microcontrollers like Arduino UNO. Specifications: Operating Voltage: 3.3 - 5V; LED Color: Green; Drive Chip: HT1632C; Working Current: 6 - 100mA; Low - power Consumption: 5uA; RC clock: 256KHz; Chip Select (CS): D2, D3, D4, D5 selectable; Serial Data Communication; Supports Arduino Library; Supports Scrolling display; Interface mode: Compatible with FireBeetle Series; Operating Temperature: - 10°C - +85°C; Dimension: 24 x 58(mm)/0.94 x 2.28(inches); Weight: 26g. Shipping List: One Green 24x8 LED Matrix FireBeetle Cover, two 18 - pin 2.54mm Pin Headers, and two 18 - pin 2.54mm Female Pin Headers.

Using this LED matrix is quite easy. First, connect it to your FireBeetle or other compatible Arduino microcontroller following the chip select options (D2, D3, D4, D5). You can then use the Arduino library to program it for different displays, like scrolling text. Remember, the operating voltage should be between 3.3V and 5V. Keep the operating temperature in the range of - 10°C to +85°C. When it's not in use, the low - power mode can save energy, consuming only 5uA. For maintenance, avoid physical damage to the LEDs and the driver chip. If you want to adjust the brightness, you can use the 16 - scale PWM brightness adjustment feature available with the HT1632C chip.
