Just shine a bright light into the fiber bundle at one end, and the fabric will be filled with tiny shining dots. You can make it almost glow by gently abrading it with fine sandpaper to damage the fibers and make them 'leak' light. Selective abrasion is a fantastic way to create patterns. Using this fiber optic fabric is easy. First, gather a bright light source. Shine it into the fiber bundle that's collected at one end of the fabric. You'll see the fabric light up with little shining points. To make it glow more, take some fine sandpaper and gently rub the fabric to create abrasions. You can be creative and use selective abrasion to make cool patterns. When handling the fabric, be careful not to pull or tug too hard on the fibers as they can break. To store it, keep it in a dry and cool place away from sharp objects that could damage the fibers. If it gets dirty, you can gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth.
