Product Details
The STS35 temperature sensor from Sensirion offers a fully calibrated, linearized, and supply-voltage-compensated digital output with an outstanding accuracy of up to ±0.1°C. It operates within a temperature range of -40~125°C and supports an I2C communication rate of up to 1MHz. The self-heating function allows it to dehumidify the chip, enabling proper operation in humid conditions. Key features include factory calibration, high accuracy, a fast 0.5ms startup time, high reliability, and long-term stability. Ideal applications are grain bin temperature monitoring, precise lab temperature control, greenhouse ambient temperature detection, and temperature measurement in variable humidity environments. Specifications include an operating voltage of 2.15~5.5V DC, heating power consumption of 3.6~33mW, I2C output signal, -40~125°C measuring range, ±0.1°C accuracy, 0.01°C resolution, ≤1.5ms preheat (typical 0.5ms), >2s response time, -40~125°C operating temperature, 20x17.5x2mm/0.79x0.69x0.08” size, and M2(2mm) mounting hole size with a 15mm pitch. Available documents are product wiki, schematics, and dimensions & components layout. The shipping list includes one Fermion STS35 High Accuracy Digital Temperature Sensor.
Using the Fermion STS35 temperature sensor is quite straightforward. First, connect it to your device according to the I2C wiring diagram. Make sure the operating voltage is within the range of 2.15 - 5.5V DC. Once connected, it will start working quickly with a startup time of just 0.5ms. When using it in a humid environment, the self - heating function will help dehumidify the chip. However, keep in mind that the response time is more than 2 seconds, so don't expect instant readings. For maintenance, there's not much you need to do. Just keep it in a clean environment within the operating temperature range of -40 to 125°C. Avoid any physical damage to the sensor, especially to the small mounting holes. If you need more detailed information, refer to the product wiki, schematics, and dimensions & components layout documents.
