Product Details

Meet the FemtoBuck, a compact single - output constant current LED driver. It can dim a single high - power LED channel from 0 - 350mA at up to 36V. You can control the dimming via either PWM or an analog signal from 0 - 2.5V. Based on the PicoBuck LED Driver co - developed with Ethan Zonca, the FemtoBuck focuses on controlling just one LED channel instead of three. We've increased the voltage ratings of its parts to cover the full 36V range of the AL8805 driver. As a constant current driver, its power supply current drops as the voltage rises. With an efficiency of around 95% (depending on input voltage), each FemtoBuck has two inputs for power and dimming control, and a spot for a 3.5mm screw terminal. There are also small indents on both sides for securing wires with zip ties after soldering.

Using the FemtoBuck is straightforward. First, connect the power input and dimming control pins to their respective sources. You can use the 3.5mm screw terminal area to make these connections more secure. For dimming, you can choose either PWM or an analog signal from 0 - 2.5V to adjust the brightness of the single high - power LED channel from 0 - 350mA. When it comes to the power supply, keep in mind that as the supply voltage rises, the current drawn from the supply will drop. Regarding maintenance, make sure the board is clean and free of dust. Check the soldered connections periodically to ensure they are secure. If you need to secure the wires, use the small indents on the sides of the board with zip ties. Avoid exposing the FemtoBuck to extreme temperatures or moisture as this may affect its performance.
