Product Details

With our exciting collection of conductive materials, creating cosplay and wearables has never been a breeze! This Conductive Nylon tape pairs perfectly with other cool materials like copper tape, ITO glass or plastic, and conductive inks. The metallic nylon fabric offers significant advantages over ordinary copper tape. Firstly, it won't crack when bent or twisted. You can craft all kinds of unique shapes and paths without fretting about broken traces. It's also more flexible, allowing you to attach it to flexible materials. It comes with conductive glue on the reverse side, so you can directly tape it to capacitive pads. It has high conductivity, only a few ohms per foot. While it's not as conductive as pure copper tape, it can surely power small components. However, unlike pure copper tape, you can't solder to it. But since it's fabric, you can sew it. Each order includes a 5mm wide by 10 - meter long strip of tape. It's long enough for multiple projects. Just cut the size you need and save the rest. If 5mm isn't wide enough, we also have it in 8mm. Note that the images show the 8mm tape on the Circuit Playground board, and this tape is a bit narrower.

Using this conductive nylon fabric tape is super easy. First, decide on the size you need for your project and cut the tape from the 10 - meter roll. If you're working on a cosplay or a wearable, you can attach it to the flexible material due to its great flexibility. The conductive glue on one side allows you to directly stick it to capacitive pads. You can power small components with it, but remember it's not as conductive as pure copper tape. When it comes to shaping, you can bend or twist it into odd shapes without worrying about it cracking. And if you need to connect it in a different way, you can sew it because it's fabric. But don't try to solder it as it won't work. To maintain it, keep it in a dry place away from sharp objects that could cut or damage it. That way, you can use the remaining tape for future projects.
