Product Details

The Chibi Clip is a must - have for anyone using the Chibi Chip. It allows for super - fast testing and easy re - use of the Chip. Attaching or detaching the Chip to paper - based circuits is as simple as using a clothespin. This Clip is designed with classrooms and budget - conscious teachers in mind. Unlike soldering and taping, which need consumables and can cause some damage to the Chip, the Clip uses its built - in spring tension to press the Chip's electrodes onto copper tape. This means you can quickly reuse a Chip in the Clip across different projects and among multiple students. When making copper tape patterns for the Clip, use the Chip as a guide. Mark where the copper tape should go on the paper's edge before laying it out. Make sure the tape reaches the paper's edge and is as smooth as possible, as big wrinkles can stop the Clip - mounted Chip from touching all the copper tape. Remember, the Chibi Chip is sold separately. Just follow the step - by - step instructions on the box back to insert the Chip into the Clip, and you're good to go!

Using the Chibi Clip is a breeze. First, get your Chibi Chip and insert it into the Clip following the instructions on the back of the box. To attach the Clip to a paper circuit, lay out your copper tape. Use the Chip as a guide to mark where the tape should be on the paper's edge. Run the tape to the edge of the paper and smooth it out well. Then, simply clip the Chip onto the copper tape. When you're done with a project, it's easy to detach the Clip and reuse it in another project or with another student. One important thing to note is that the Chibi Chip is sold separately, so make sure you have one. Also, when laying the copper tape, avoid large wrinkles as they can prevent the Chip from making proper contact. As for maintenance, there's not much to do. Just keep the Clip clean and dry. If it gets dirty, you can gently wipe it with a soft cloth. That's all you need to know to make the most of your Chibi Clip!
