These channel gearbox kits with a 360° rotation and 5:1 gear ratio feature threaded side mounts. You can easily attach a standard - sized servo to many Actobotics products like tubing and channel. It's a breeze to integrate a servo - powered gearbox into custom pan & tilt setups, mechanical devices, or robotic structures. Each kit comes with a hardened 1/2” stainless - steel final shaft. It has dual ABEC - 5 precision ball bearings that can handle up to 200 pounds of vertical and horizontal loads. Also, a precision potentiometer inside the underdrive housing connected to the final output shaft gives accurate positioning feedback. Actobotics is a robotics building system using extruded aluminum channels, gears, precision shafts, and ball bearings. With two standardized hole patterns, most Actobotics components can be connected intuitively. The wide variety of components makes it possible to build complex electromechanical prototypes or finished projects. Note: This gearbox kit doesn't include a servo. Check the related items for different servo options. These kits are only for Hitec servos. Kit Includes: 1x Channel Mount Gear Box - 360° Rotation, 1x Hub Mount Gear, 1x 5:1 Servo Gear, 1x 0.77' x 0.77' Servo Hub, 1x ½' Clamp Hub, 1x 6 - 32 x 3/8' Set Screw, 4x 6 - 32 x ½' Socket Head Screw, 4x 6 - 32 x ¼' Phillips Head Screw. Using this gearbox kit is quite simple. First, attach a standard - sized Hitec servo to the gearbox using the threaded side mounts. You can then connect the gearbox to Actobotics products like tubing and channel. When using, be aware that this kit doesn't come with a servo, so you need to get one separately from the related items. And remember, it only works with Hitec servos. For maintenance, keep the gearbox clean and free of debris. Periodically check the ball bearings and the potentiometer for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any issues, it's best to replace the parts as soon as possible. Follow the assembly instructions carefully during installation to ensure everything is set up correctly.
