These channel gearbox kits with a 360° rotation and 3:1 gear ratio feature threaded side mounts. This allows you to easily attach a standard - sized servo to many Actobotics products like tubing and channel. It's a breeze to integrate a servo - powered gearbox into your custom pan & tilt, mechanical device, or robotic structure. Each kit comes with a hardened 1/2” stainless - steel final shaft supported by dual ABEC - 5 precision ball bearings. These bearings can handle up to 200 pounds of vertical and horizontal loads. There's also a precision potentiometer inside the underdrive housing attached to the final output shaft for accurate positioning feedback. Actobotics is a great robotics building system with extruded aluminum channels, gears, precision shafts, and ball bearings. Thanks to two standardized hole patterns, most Actobotics components can be easily connected. With a wide range of components, you can build complex electromechanical prototypes or finished projects. Note: This gearbox kit doesn't include a servo. Check the related items for different Hitec servo options. Using this gearbox kit is easy. First, pick a suitable Hitec servo as the kit doesn't come with one. Attach the servo to the channel mount gearbox using the threaded side mounts. Connect the gearbox to Actobotics products like tubing and channel. You can then integrate it into your custom pan & tilt, mechanical device, or robotic structure. Remember, the final shaft in the kit can support up to 200 pounds of vertical and horizontal loads, so don't exceed this limit. For maintenance, keep the components clean. Check the ball bearings and the potentiometer regularly. If you notice any wear or damage, replace the parts promptly. Also, make sure to follow the assembly instructions provided with the product for a smooth installation process.
