2.1mm 5VDC Barrel Jack to USB C Adapter

As technology evolves, Adafruit keeps up. This adapter features a 2.1mm barrel jack socket and a USB C plug. It lets you power USB C devices using a regular wall adapter. USB C is the latest industry - standard connector for both data and power transfer. Just like Lightning and MagSafe cables, it has no specific orientation. Simply plug this adapter into a 2.1mm 5VDC barrel jack, and it turns into a USB C source. But note, there's no protection circuit or Power Delivery negotiation. You should only use it with a 5V adapter, as wrong polarity or voltage can damage your electronics. It works well with USB C - ported devices that don't need a USB Power Delivery chip, like the Raspberry Pi 4. Pair it with our 2A 5V wall power supplies for a great setup.

Using this adapter is easy. First, find a 2.1mm 5VDC barrel jack, like the one on a common wall adapter. Then, plug the adapter into the barrel jack. Now you can connect your USB C device to the USB C plug on the adapter to power it. Remember, only use a 5V adapter with this product. Using the wrong voltage or polarity can harm your electronics.
