Product Details

Power over Ethernet (PoE) splitters simplify project wiring. They connect any 802.3af-capable router to Ethernet devices, even those without native PoE support! This economical and reliable PoE splitter, based on the IEEE 802.3af standard, separates a unified PoE signal from one RJ-45 cable into data (Ethernet) and 5V regulated power for non-PoE devices. Connect it to your PoE switch or hub, and you'll get Ethernet and a high-quality 5V power supply of up to 2.4 Amps on the other end of the Ethernet cable. It's ideal for Raspberry Pi models B, B+, Pi 2, and Pi 3, as well as Arduino boards with Ethernet and micro USB. Just make sure the device has a micro USB power input. Note that there's a minimum load requirement of 100mA on the 5V power supply. This splitter is for use with true 802.3af routers only. If you don't have a PoE injector, check out our passive PoE cable kit.

Using this PoE splitter is easy. First, connect it to your PoE switch or hub. Then, on the other side of the Ethernet cable, you'll get Ethernet and a 5V power supply up to 2.4 Amps. It works great with devices like Raspberry Pi models B, B+, Pi 2, and Pi 3, as well as Arduino boards with Ethernet and micro USB. Just make sure the device has a micro USB power input. Remember, there's a minimum load requirement of 100mA on the 5V power supply. This splitter is only for use with true 802.3af routers. To keep it in good condition, avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. If you don't have a PoE injector, you can use our passive PoE cable kit.
