Product Details

Piunora by Diode Delights is an awesome, easy - to - use development board for Linux - based electronics prototyping. It has a well - known form factor, clear pin labels, and is perfect for space - limited projects. As a carrier board for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4), Piunora is like a mini Raspberry Pi 4 Single Board Computer with more flexibility for custom designs. Devices based on CM4, such as Piunora, work great with software written for the Raspberry Pi 4, as long as the software takes the hardware peripherals into account. Some CM4 versions come with eMMC memory, which is more reliable than a regular SD card. Despite its small size, Piunora is loaded with powerful peripherals! Piunora Lite uses the same PCB as Piunora Pro but skips the bottom - side components to save space and cost. Piunora Lite does not have the PCI - e M.2 B - Key with a dedicated 3.3 V / 3 A supply and the camera connector. Key features include an Arduino UNO R3 / Adafruit Metro compatible form factor, a PCI - e M.2 B - Key connector with a dedicated power supply, an Analog to Digital Converter, easy switching between USB host and device modes, a Qwiic/Stemma QT connector, a full - sized camera connector, a full - sized HDMI 2.0 port, a WS2812 Smart RGB LED, optional Wi - Fi or eMMC options, a slim design, two user - controllable buttons, and it's open hardware with design files and software available at shipping.

Using the Piunora Lite is straightforward. First, insert your Raspberry Pi 4 Compute Module into the appropriate slot. Connect your power supply using the available ports and ensure it's the correct voltage. You can connect external devices like cameras (although Piunora Lite doesn't have a camera connector) or other peripherals using the various connectors on the board. For software, make sure to use programs that are compatible with the Raspberry Pi 4 and take the hardware peripherals into account. When it comes to maintenance, keep the board clean and free from dust. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If you need to update the software, refer to the official documentation. Also, be careful when handling the board to prevent static electricity from damaging the components. Remember, the Pi 4 Compute Module is not included, so you'll need to purchase it separately if you don't already have one.
