Product Details

The MyoWare® 2.0 Link Shield is an excellent solution for effortlessly connecting a MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor to your Arduino microcontroller. It features a 3.5mm TRS jack, allowing you to use a 3.5mm TRS - to - TRS cable to link the boards. The board comes with snap connectors, enabling easy stacking on top of the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor. There are two switches: one for power and the other for selecting the output mode of the raw EMG, rectified, or envelope signal. Two status LEDs are built - in to show power and envelope signal status. A jumper is also provided for reference or ground. You'll need the MyoWare 2.0 Arduino Shield and a development board with the Arduino Uno R3 footprint to connect each MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor and Link Shield stack. Note that MyoWare and the Link Shield are not for disease diagnosis or treatment, and the 3.5mm TRS Cable is not included and needs to be bought separately. The MyoWare® 2.0 ecosystem offers shields that interface well with the low - cost, Arduino - compatible MyoWare® 2.0 Muscle Sensor. Its innovative connector system lets users snap shields together with a compact design and connect to a microcontroller's analog input to measure muscle electrical activity without soldering. This product is a collaboration with Brian Kaminski from Advancer Technologies, and a part of each sale goes to them for support and development. Features include a 3.5mm TRS Connector, power and output selection switches, LED indicators, a MyoWare® 2.0 Muscle Sensor form factor with 3x female snap pins, a reference/GND jumper, and board dimensions of 37.57mm x 35.90mm (1.48” x 1.41”). Documents available are board dimensions, hookup guide, Advancer Technologies' MyoWare® 2.0 quickstart and advanced guides, patents, Arduino Reference Language for ArduinoBLE Library, GitHub Example Repo, and MyoWare 2.0 Ecosystem Page. This product is patent - protected, and Eagle design files and GitHub hardware repository for MyoWare 2.0 ecosystem boards are not shared.

Using the MyoWare 2.0 Link Shield is easy. First, stack it on top of the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor using the snap connectors. Then, use a 3.5mm TRS - to - TRS cable to connect it to your Arduino microcontroller through the 3.5mm TRS jack. You can turn the power on or off with the power switch. Use the other switch to select the output mode you need, like raw EMG, rectified, or envelope signal. The LEDs will show you the power and envelope signal status. Remember, this product is not for diagnosing or treating diseases in humans or animals. Also, you'll have to buy the 3.5mm TRS Cable separately. When it comes to maintenance, keep the board clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. If you have any problems, refer to the provided documents like the hookup guide or the quickstart guide. Have fun using your MyoWare 2.0 Link Shield to measure muscle electrical activity!
