Product Details

These super - fine wired LEDs are a dream for model - makers and crafters. They're also great for those who want to add small light points to a design without advanced SMT soldering skills. With this five - pack of Miniature Wired 0805 LEDs, wiring is a breeze. Measuring just 2mm x 1.25mm, they can be easily embedded into structures, costumes, or wearables. The 30cm long, 30AWG single - strand wire - wrap wires are flexible. You can sew over them or embed them in a casing, and they'll hold their shape, even when threaded through small spaces. There are no series resistors in the strand. If you use a different power supply, you'll need to calculate and solder in a resistor. Like most purple LEDs, they have a forward voltage of about 3.2V and a current limit of about 20mA. Follow our guide for control tips. Red is the positive anode, and blue is the negative cathode. Note that these LEDs are very delicate as there's no strain relief at the solder joint. When bending the wire, hold the LED by the wires to avoid stress on the solder point.

Using these purple wired LEDs is simple. First, decide where you want to place them in your project, like in a model or a costume. Since they're small, they fit almost anywhere. If you're using a power supply other than the standard one, you'll need to calculate and solder a resistor to the strand. The red wire is positive and the blue one is negative, so connect them correctly. When handling the LEDs, be extra careful because they're very delicate. Hold the wires when bending them to protect the solder joint. To maintain them, keep them away from excessive heat and moisture. If you're storing them, put them in a dry place. Follow the current limit of about 20mA and forward voltage of about 3.2V to ensure they work well and last long.
