Product Details

This RS485 ultrasonic obstacle avoidance and distance ranging sensor is a game - changer in the field of robot automation and control. With a measurement range from 2 to 300 cm, it offers a series of outstanding features. It has a small blind zone with a measurement accuracy of 1+(S * 0.3%) cm, a narrow measurement angle of 30 - 60°, and a short response time between 15 - 750 ms. It can filter out same - frequency interference, thanks to its innovative ultrasound processing technology that identifies and eliminates foreign ultrasound, ensuring stable and reliable data output. This sensor is compact, lightweight, and has high installation adaptability. It comes with an IP67 dust and waterproof rating, guaranteeing a long lifespan and high reliability. The sensor uses RS485 for data output and can be used with Arduino's TTL to RS485 expansion board. It has a wide range of applications, including robot obstacle avoidance, automatic control, parking management systems, security gate detection, access control systems, and object proximity and presence detection. Operating on a voltage of 3.3 - 12V and a current of ≤10mA, it can function in a temperature range of - 25°C to 65°C and a humidity range of 65% - 80%RH. It can be stored at - 30°C to 80°C with a humidity of 65% - 90%RH.

Using this sensor is quite easy. First, connect it to Arduino's TTL to RS485 expansion board as per the wiring diagram. Make sure the power supply voltage is within the 3.3 - 12V range. Once connected, power it on, and it will start working after a delay of ≤1000ms. When using it, keep in mind that the operating temperature should be between - 25°C and 65°C, and the humidity should be 65% - 80%RH. For storage, make sure the temperature is between - 30°C and 80°C, and the humidity is 65% - 90%RH. To maintain this sensor, keep it clean and dry. Since it has an IP67 rating, it can handle some dust and water, but avoid submerging it in water for a long time. If there are any issues with data output, check the connection first and make sure there is no same - frequency interference in the environment.
