Product Details

Enhance your Raspberry Pi, Beagle Bone Black, or other mini - computer setup with this top - quality, slim black chiclet keyboard. It's a full QWERTY keyboard that comes with a wireless USB dongle, and it's compatible with all operating systems. We've tested numerous keyboards to find one that feels great for daily use and doesn't take up much space. Although it's not as tiny as our Miniature Microcontroller - Friendly Keyboard, it works perfectly with PCs, Macs, Raspberry Pis, or Beagle Bones. Measuring just 11.2' x 5' x 0.8' (284mm x 127mm x 21mm), it's still very compact. This wireless keyboard connects easily via the included USB dongle, and it shows up like any regular keyboard on your device. It runs on 2 x AAA batteries, which are included! The dongle has a storage spot in the battery case, so if you can't find it, check inside the battery compartment. For use with a Raspberry Pi, you'll need to change the keyboard layout to USA PC104.

Using this keyboard is a breeze. First, insert the 2 AAA batteries that come with it into the battery compartment. Then, plug the wireless USB dongle into a USB port on your device. The keyboard should be recognized right away, just like any other regular keyboard. If you're using it with a Raspberry Pi, you'll need to change the keyboard layout. Switch to the root user, then run 'dpkg - reconfigure locales' and change from en_GB.UTF - 8 to en_US.UTF - 8. After that, run 'dpkg - reconfigure keyboard - configuration' and set the keyboard to USA PC104. When it comes to storage, remember that the dongle has a spot in the battery case, so keep it there when not in use. As for maintenance, keep the keyboard clean by gently wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. If the keyboard stops working, check the batteries first. Replace them if they're low.
