Product Details

This is an outstanding Gear Motor with Encoder, model No. GB37Y3530 - 12V - 90EN. It's a high - powered 12V motor paired with a 90:1 metal gearbox and an integrated quadrature encoder. The encoder offers a resolution of 16 counts per revolution of the motor shaft, which equals 1440 counts per revolution of the gearbox's output shaft. The motor comes with a 0.61' long, 6 mm - diameter D - shaped output shaft. It can start rotating at voltages as low as 1V, but it's designed to operate at 12V. The face plate features six mounting holes evenly spaced around the outer edge, threaded for M3 screws. These holes form a regular hexagon with 15.5 mm between the centers of neighboring holes. This motor is perfect for your mobile robot project. Remember, don't screw too far into the mounting holes as the screws might hit the gears. The manufacturer suggests screwing no more than 3mm (1/8') into the screw hole. Here are the key specifications: Gear ratio is 90:1, no - load speed is 122 ± 10% RPM, no - load current is 350 mA, start voltage is 1.0 V, stall torque is 38 Kg.cm, stall current is 7 A, insulation resistance is 20 M Ω, encoder operating voltage is 5 V, encoder type is Hall, encoder resolution is 16CPR (motor shaft)/1440CPR (gearbox shaft), and the weight is 205g. Also, you can access documents like Wiki, Dimensions, Encoder instruction, and Specification (Chinese). The shipping list includes one 12V DC Motor 122rpm with Encoder (GB37Y3530 - 12V - 90EN).

Using this motor is quite straightforward. First, connect it to a 12V power source, though it can start at 1V. You can use it for your mobile robot project. When mounting the motor, use M3 screws in the six mounting holes on the face plate. But be careful not to screw more than 3mm (1/8') into the holes to avoid hitting the gears. As for maintenance, keep it clean and dry. Check the encoder regularly for any signs of damage. If the motor gets too hot during operation, stop using it and check for any blockages. Also, you can refer to the included documents like the encoder instruction and specifications for more detailed information.
