This single disc load cell, also known as a strain gauge, can convert up to 50kg of pressure (force) into an electrical signal. It measures the change in electrical resistance that corresponds proportionally to the strain (such as pressure or force) applied to the disc. With this gauge, you can easily determine an object's weight, track weight changes over time, or simply detect an object's presence by measuring the strain or load on a surface. Disc load cells are easier to mount than bar - style ones, making them a great choice for design implementation. Made from a steel - alloy, each load cell can handle a capacity of 50kg. It has four strain gauges arranged in a wheatstone bridge formation. The wiring color code is: red = E+, green = O+, black = E-, and white = O-. It also offers an IP66 protection rating. Using this load cell is easy. First, mount it in your desired location. It's simpler to mount compared to bar - style load cells. Connect the wires according to the color code: red for E+, green for O+, black for E-, and white for O-. Then, start applying the pressure or load you want to measure. You can use it to check an object's weight, see if the weight changes, or just sense if an object is there. When handling, avoid dropping or hitting it hard as it's made of a steel - alloy but still can be damaged. Keep it away from extreme moisture since it has an IP66 protection rating but not full waterproof. To maintain it, clean it gently with a dry cloth from time to time.
