Product Details

Introducing the Keyboard FeatherWing from Solder Party! It's a fantastic way to add a compact QWERTY keyboard and a 2.6 - inch color display to your project. With a great hand - held size, it's perfect for typing with your thumbs, just like in the early 2000s. The keyboard doesn't have its own programmable MCU/CPU/SoC, so you'll need a board that's compatible with the Adafruit Feather Ecosystem. Once connected, you'll get a mini 'BlackBerry' - like display, enabling you to build a cool portable device. Some great Feather boards include the Giant Board (runs Linux), the Orange Crab (FPGA), the Huzzah32 (WiFi), the Feather nRF5240 Express (BLE), the Feather M0 with RFM95 (LoRa), and many more. It supports both Arduino and CircuitPython, with example code for each. Technical features include a 2.6 - inch 320x240 16 - bit color LCD with a resistive touch screen, a QWERTY 'BlackBerry compatible' keyboard, a 5 - way navigation button, 4 soft tactile buttons, 1 NeoPixel, a microSD connector for data storage, a Stemma QT/Qwiic connector for quick sensor connection, an On/Off switch, dual - row sockets for a Feather, four mounting holes, and GPIO solder jumpers.

Using the Keyboard FeatherWing is easy. First, make sure you have a board that's compatible with the Adafruit Feather Ecosystem. Plug the Keyboard FeatherWing into the back of the compatible board. Once it's connected, you can start using the QWERTY keyboard for typing and the 2.6 - inch color display to create your portable device. You can use the 5 - way navigation button and the 4 soft tactile buttons to navigate through your project. The microSD connector can be used to store data. For quick sensor connection, use the Stemma QT/Qwiic connector. When it comes to power, use the On/Off switch. Remember, the keyboard itself doesn't have a programmable MCU/CPU/SoC, so rely on the compatible board for programming. For programming, you can use either Arduino or CircuitPython, and there are example codes available for both. To maintain the product, keep it in a clean and dry place. Avoid touching the resistive touch screen with sharp objects as it may damage the screen. If you need to clean the device, use a soft, dry cloth.
