Using the TMP117 temperature sensor is easy. First, if you're using an Arduino, you can quickly get started by downloading the SparkFun TMP117 library through the Arduino library manager or from the GitHub repo. Once the library is installed, you're ready to go. This is a Qwiic compatible board, so you just plug it in - no need to worry about soldering, figuring out SDA or SCL, or voltage regulation. When it comes to the sensor's temperature measurement, it gives you accurate readings in a wide range from -20°C to +50°C without calibration. Just keep in mind that the sensor has a maximum range of -55°C to 150°C. As for maintenance, since it has low power consumption, there's not much to worry about. But be careful not to expose it to extreme conditions outside its specified range. Also, remember that this is an experimental SparkX product. It's been tested, but there are no guarantees.
