Enhance your Hakko soldering experience by upgrading to this new tip. You'll achieve better and faster solder joints, making the entire soldering process a real pleasure. This tip is a perfect fit for the FX-888 analog and digital soldering irons. Swapping it out is a breeze - it only takes 30 seconds! All tips work great with either lead or lead-free solder; just set the iron to the right temperature for the solder you're using. This 'Hoof' tip is excellent for drag soldering. It also has more mass at the end, which means it can quickly heat up large solder joints like connectors.

Using this Hakko soldering tip is easy. First, make sure your FX - 888 soldering iron is turned off and cooled down. Swap the old tip with the new T18 - C2 Hoof tip in just 30 seconds. When you're ready to solder, set the iron to the appropriate temperature for the type of solder you're using, whether it's lead or lead - free. For drag soldering, the Hoof tip is a great choice. When working on large solder joints like connectors, its extra mass at the end will quickly heat up the joint. Remember to always turn off the iron when you're done and let it cool down before storing. To keep the tip in good condition, clean it regularly with a damp sponge while the iron is hot, but be careful not to damage the tip.
