At Adafruit, we're always excited to find new and amazing glowing items. These Flexible Silicone Neon-Like LED Strips really caught our eye! They look just like neon, but without the need for pricey transformers, glass tubes, or inert gases. These strips are super flexible and bendable. They have a single - color non - addressable LED strip with a big piece of translucent silicone rubber as a diffuser. They look amazing and are very easy to use, making your projects shine brightly! The silicone casing is strong, durable, and weather - proof. While they're not meant for underwater use or long - term outdoor exposure, they're tough enough for outdoor projects like costumes, bike lights, or festival decorations. You'll get a 1 - meter strip with two power wires. Supply 9V (bright) to 12V (very bright), and the strip starts glowing. No soldering needed! You can connect it with a 2.1mm DC Barrel Jack and plug it into your favorite 12V supply. Instant glow! For portable use, try our 8 x AA battery packs with NiMH rechargeable or Alkaline batteries. Note, these aren't 'NeoPixel' LED strips. You can turn the whole strip on or off, but you can't control individual LEDs or change colors. You can cut the silicone cover and LED strip, though you might break one or two LEDs in the process.

Using this LED strip is a breeze. First, you've got a 1 - meter strip with two power wires. To make it glow, supply a voltage between 9V (which gives a bright glow) and 12V (for a very bright glow). You don't need to do any soldering. Just attach it with a 2.1mm DC Barrel Jack and plug it into a 12V power supply. If you want to use it on the go, our 8 x AA battery packs with NiMH rechargeable or Alkaline batteries are a great option. When it comes to where you can use it, it's good for outdoor projects like costumes, bike lights, or festival decorations. But don't dunk it underwater or leave it outside for a long time. As for cutting, you can cut the silicone cover and the LED strip. Just be aware that you might break one or two LEDs while doing it. Also, remember that this isn't a 'NeoPixel' LED strip. You can only turn the whole thing on or off; you can't control single LEDs or change colors. To keep it in good shape, store it in a dry place when not in use, and avoid bending it too sharply for a long time.
