Product Details

The FireBeetle 2 ESP32-S3-U is a high-performance main controller centered around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1U-N16R8 module. It has 16MB Flash and 8MB PSRAM for storing more data. The ESP32-S3 chip's acceleration for neural network computing and signal processing makes it great for various applications like speech and image recognition. It features an onboard camera interface and an independent camera power supply circuit, reducing signal interference. The included OV2640 camera offers 2 megapixels, 68° FOV, and up to 1600*1200 resolution. The onboard GDI simplifies wiring for screen use. It also integrates power management, allowing Li-ion battery charging and hardware on/off control. This microcontroller supports WiFi and Bluetooth 5 (LE) dual-mode communication, and both Bluetooth Mesh and Espressif WiFi Mesh for stable and wide - area communication. With Matter protocol support, it's suitable for industrial - standard smart home device development. It can be programmed using Arduino IDE, ESP - IDF, and MicroPython, supporting both C and Python.

Using the FireBeetle 2 ESP32 - S3 - U is easy. First, connect your camera to the onboard camera interface. Make sure to use the independent power supply to reduce interference. If you want to use a screen, connect it via the onboard GDI to save wiring trouble. You can charge a Li - ion battery through the power management function, but don't exceed the max charging current of 1A. When programming, you can choose Arduino IDE, ESP - IDF, or MicroPython according to your preference. For networking, use the WiFi and Bluetooth 5 dual - mode communication. Be aware that the operating temperature range is - 20 to 70°C. When not in use, store it in a dry and cool place. Keep the ports clean to ensure good connection. Check the datasheets for more detailed information about the hardware and protocols.
