The Playground system offers a simple way to link Crumble, Raspberry Pi, or BBC micro:bit to useful Gizmos. The Dial Gizmo makes it easy to connect an analog input dial that can be read on the Crumble or micro:bit. Just use a connection cable to connect the Playground to the Gizmo. On the Crumble, the value ranges from 0 to 255, and on the micro:bit, it's from 0 to 1023. Note that due to resistive losses, the upper limits might not be reached.

Using the Dial Gizmo is super easy. First, make sure you have the Playground system up and running with either a Crumble, Raspberry Pi, or BBC micro:bit. Then, take a connection cable and use it to link the Playground to the Dial Gizmo. Once it's connected, you can start using the analog input dial. When you use it with the Crumble, you'll see values between 0 and 255, and with the micro:bit, values will be between 0 and 1023. Just keep in mind that because of some resistive losses, you might not get the highest values. As for maintenance, keep it clean and dry. Avoid dropping it or exposing it to extreme temperatures. If you have any problems, check the connections first and make sure everything is plugged in properly.
