Product Details

The Delta Twister is an exciting do - it - yourself lightweight flying machine. It's a top - notch choice for both amateur flight lovers and DIY enthusiasts. This cool machine can fly using either a wound - up rubber band or a small electric motor. The motor makes its dual - plastic wings flap quickly through the air. The kit needs two AAA batteries, which aren't included but are available in the Adafruit store. You don't need any special tools to build it. There's no English manual, so it's a bit more of a challenge than other Gakken kits. However, the pictures in the Japanese manual are easy to follow, and you can finish building the kit in just a couple of hours. You can download the Japanese Manual (with pictures) here. Gakken, a Japanese publishing company established in 1946, started selling educational toys, books, magazines, and electronic kits in the 1970s. Their kits are well - known for their clever design and user - friendly nature, and they have a huge fan base in both Japan and the United States.

To use the Delta Twister flying machine, first, build it following the pictures in the Japanese manual. It'll take a couple of hours. You'll need to insert two AAA batteries (not included, available at Adafruit store). You can choose to make it fly with a wound - up rubber band or use the electric motor. When using the electric motor, just turn it on and watch the dual - plastic wings flap and take it to the air. As for the notice, since there's no English manual, take your time to understand the Japanese pictures. Be careful when handling the small parts to avoid losing them. Also, make sure the batteries are inserted correctly. For maintenance, keep the flying machine in a dry place. After each use, check the wings for any damage. If the rubber band gets old, replace it. And if the electric motor has any issues, check the battery connection first.
