Removing SMD components that are more complex than a simple resistor or SOT-23 can be a real challenge. Using this Chip Quik SMD Removal Kit is quite straightforward. First, grab the Chipquick Tack Flux 10cc Syringe and apply flux to all the leads of the SMD. This helps the solder alloy work better. Next, evenly solder the alloy on all the pins of the SMD. After that, you can either lift the SMD straight off or slide it from the board. Finally, clean the site using a swab dipped in flux, a solder wick, or an alcohol wipe. When using the kit, make sure to handle the alloy carefully as it gets hot.
