For those eager to build their custom keyboard, these Cherry MX mechanical key switches are top - notch! This tester comes with one switch of each type neatly mounted on a plastic cut - out, allowing you to quickly test all 4. Ever wondered what 'clicky', 'tactile', and 'linear' really mean? You'll understand right away when you press each key. Here's what you get: - Clicky Tactile Blue: Initial force of at least 25 gf, actuation force of 50 gf (+/-15 gf), pressure point of 60 gf (+/-15 gf), pretravel of 2.2mm (+/- 0.6 mm), and total travel of 4mm (+/- 0.5 mm). - Quiet Tactile / 'Bump' Brown: Initial force of at least 30 gf, actuation force of 45 gf, pressure point force of 55 gf, pretravel of 2.0mm, and total travel of 4mm. - Smooth Linear Red: Initial force of 30 gf (+/-15 gf), actuation force of 45 gf (+/-15 gf), pretravel of 1.9 mm (+/- 0.6 mm), and total travel of 3.7 mm (+/- 0.4 mm). - Smooth Linear Black: Initial force of at least 30 gf, actuation force of 60 gf, pretravel of 2 mm, and total travel of 4.0mm.

Using this Cherry MX 4 - Key Mechanical Switch Tester is super easy. Just press each key one by one to feel the different types of switches - clicky, tactile, and linear. This will help you decide which type you like best for your custom keyboard. When handling the tester, be gentle with the keys. Don't apply excessive force as it might damage the switches. Also, keep it away from water and extreme temperatures. To maintain the tester, you can use a dry, soft cloth to wipe it clean every now and then. If it gets dirty, you can lightly dampen the cloth with water (make sure it's not too wet) and gently clean the surface. This will keep your tester in good condition for a long time.
