They make it a breeze to attach a standard - sized servo to a wide range of Actobotics products, like tubing and channel. This allows you to easily integrate a servo - powered gearbox into your custom pan & tilt setup, mechanical device, or robotic structure. The kit features a hardened 1/2” stainless steel final shaft with dual ABEC - 5 precision ball bearings. These bearings can handle up to 200 pounds of vertical and horizontal loads. Also, the main spur gear is bolted to the drive hub, ensuring direct power transfer without any slipping. Actobotics is a great robotics building system centered around extruded aluminum channels, gears, precision shafts, and ball bearings. Thanks to its two standardized hole patterns, most Actobotics components can be connected intuitively. Using this gearbox kit is easy. First, attach the standard - sized Hitec servo to the kit using the threaded side mounts. You can then connect the kit to Actobotics tubing or channel. When you want to integrate it into your pan & tilt setup, mechanical device, or robotic structure, simply use the standardized hole patterns for a seamless connection. Remember, this kit doesn't come with a servo, so make sure to pick one from the related items section. Only use Hitec servos with this kit. To keep the kit in good condition, regularly check the bolts and screws to ensure they are tight. Wipe down the components with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dust or debris.
